About Us
Founded in February of 2004 by friends who needed a job but really didn't want to work. We struggled getting up early, morning after morning and we still do. We're open at 7:00am but we don't get in till 7:30am, and 8 errrr...8:30am on the weekends
We've watched countless people spill coffee on our carpet, put gum under our tables and a slew of very talented singer/songwriters come through our shop/venue. Our coffee is the best on the block, maybe even better than across the street. We politely greet customers more often than we kick them out. We are the ONLY original music scene in Northern Monmouth County(NJ). Some of the notable acts who've passed through our little shop: Jon Caspi, George Wirth, April Smith, Jerzy Jung, Quincy Mumford, Matt Wade, Joe D'Urso, Christine Martucci, Eryn Shewell, Rick Barry, Ali Moss, Joe Harvard, Elana Arian, Helena & Maria, Lizanne Knott, Charlotte Sometimes(Jessie Poland), Bess Rodgers, Laura Warshauer, Cara Salimando and many more. Some of them enjoying spilling things on our carpet that they continue to come back.
Open 7 days a week. Closing is whenever the last customer leaves or gets kicked out. We're not just coffee, we sell bottled water too!
And if you don't care for anything we sell - buy something anyway and we won't give you that evil eye. I think that was error free; well thanks for reeding :)

We are always looking for new talent to play here _ Espresso Joe's. If you are interested in playing here, please make sure you have ORIGINAL material before contacting us. We will not book musicians that play only COVERS.
For all bookings, please contact us via Facebook or come by the shop and drop off a CD for us to evaluate....but the best way to get a show here is come to our Open Mic Wednesday nights and showcase yourself.
